Detroit City FC hosts FC St. Pauli next Saturday, May 19 at Keyworth Stadium for what will be DCFC’s biggest international friendly match to date.
The International Series match presented by Strategic Staffing Solutions marks FC St. Pauli’s first-ever match in the United States. Kickoff for the match is at 6 PM and limited tickets remain at http://tickets.https://www.detcityfc.com.
It will be a weekend spent in celebration of community-built soccer. There are several events lined up for fans and supporters of both clubs and the general public, including an opening reception party at Detroit Distillery on Friday, May 18 from 6-8 PM and a panel discussion featuring leadership from St. Pauli and DCFC and Dr. Stefan Szymanski on Saturday, May 19 from 11 AM-1 PM at MotorCity Casino Hotel’s Amnesia.
After the international friendly, the official post-match party will be held at the Magic Stick from 9 PM-midnight.

FC ST. PAULI SUPPORTERS MEET-UP

WHAT: An opportunity for FC St. Pauli’s traveling and Detroit-based supporters to gather and mingle with club leadership. Live music entertainment and complementary adult beverages and snacks provided. Open to all and free admission.

PANEL ON THE FUTURE OF SUPPORTER BASED FOOTBALL

WHAT: Leadership of FC St. Pauli and Detroit City FC, along with supporters and renowned soccer economist, Dr. Stefan Szymanski, will lead a panel discussion and open conversation for the public on the future of football. Free admission. Copies of Dr. Szymanksi’s latest book, ‘The 2018 Update of Soccernomics,’ will be available for purchase with proceeds going to the Detroit City FC/Detroit PAL Youth Select Program
OFFICIAL PRE-MATCH AT FOWLING WAREHOUSE
WHEN: 2-5 PM
WHERE: Fowling Warehouse, 3901 Christopher St., Hamtramck
WHAT: All fans are encouraged to meet up before the match at the Fowling Warehouse, DCFC’s Official Prematch Bar. The FC St. Pauli delegation will join supporters and try their hand at Detroit’s unique sport that combines American football and bowling. From there, at 5 PM, fans will start the March to the Match through the streets of Hamtramck to Keyworth Stadium.
