With Detroit City FC’s international friendly vs. FC United of Manchester on Saturday, May 28 at 3 PM ET, we are excited to announce a lineup of open events for all supporters to attend throughout the weekend building up to the historic matchday. All events listed below are open to the media.
The weekend will kick-off on Friday, May 27 with an open training session for FC United and Detroit City FC at Keyworth Stadium from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Supporters are encouraged to attend and watch as both teams prepare for the match. Players, coaches and owners will be on hand after the training session to talk with media.
Later that evening, teams and supporters will head to Nancy Whiskey in celebration of both clubs. The party will start at 7 p.m.
Before the match kicks off on Saturday, May 28, supporters are invited to Third Man Records for a special breakfast from 9-11 a.m. Both teams will be in attendance.
Afterward, we’ll head to the Official Prematch Bar and March to the Match starting point, Fowling Warehouse, to resume normal prematch festivities before the 3 PM ET kickoff.
When the friendly concludes, the last stop will be the post-match party at HopCat. Join supporters, teams and staff in the Huma Room at HopCat starting at 5 p.m. for one last hurrah before Manchester travels home!
