MEN’S FIRST TEAM (NISA)
DETROIT CITY FC MEN CROWNED CHAMPIONS OF THE NISA SPRING SEASON: On Saturday night Detroit City FC hosted Chattanooga FC in front of nearly 5,000 fans at Keyworth Stadium and it was a Keyworth classic. Detroit City FC jumped out to an early 2-0 lead with goals from Pato Botello Faz and Jimmy Filerman and controlled most of the game.
In the second half, a deflected strike by Chattanooga found its way past Nate Steinwascher to bring the deficit back to one goal before, in the 83rd minute Chattanooga earned a penalty but the PK was denied by Steinwascher who came up big all night for Le Rouge.
Detroit City FC ended the NISA Spring Season at the top of the table and were crowned champions after defeating Chattanooga on Saturday night, their final record in the NISA Spring Season was (6-0-2).
Detroit City FC now turns their focus to the NISA Championship match on Saturday, July 3 where they will face off against the winner of LA Force v. Chattanooga FC who play in the NISA Semi-Final on Wednesday, at 7:30p tickets for the NISA Championship can be found here.

WOMEN’S FIRST TEAM (UWS)
Detroit City FC win by Forfeit: The Detroit City FC Women’s First Team was slated to travel to Indiana to faceoff against the Indiana Elite on Saturday, June 26 but before the women could depart, the game was called off and declared a forfeit by the league giving the Detroit City FC side a 3-0 victory.
The ladies next take the field on Friday, July 2 on the road against Midwest United.

MEN’S U23 TEAM
U23 DOMINATES AT KEYWORTH STADIUM: It was more of the same for the Detroit City FC U23 side on Saturday as they hosted Inter Detroit at Keyworth Stadium, defeating the visiting side 4-0. #15 Kellan Landefeld was the Man of the Match and helped Detroit City FC to the victory with two goals, coming very close to scoring his hat trick late on as his right footed effort grazed the crossbar.
Detroit City FC’s U23 side is still flawless after eight matches of Midwest Premier League play with a goal differential of +23.
They next take the field on Wednesday, June 30 at home against the Michigan Stars U23 as part of a double header with the NISA Semi-Final, tickets for that encounter can be found here.

WOMEN’S SECOND TEAM
WOMENS RESERVE TEAM HAS A FEW DAYS OFF: After a whirlwind few weeks for the Detroit City FC Women’s Reserve side they have two weeks off. The last time the Detroit City FC Women’s Reserve side took the pitch they defeated AFC Plymouth 6-0 on June 22, their next match is against Thundercats Soccer on the road on Tuesday, July 6.
