DETROIT — Detroit City Football Club is delighted to announce its continued partnership with the Detroit Medical Center through a long-term sponsorship exclusively brokered by Sports Revenue Advisors.
As part of the expanded renewal agreement, DMC will continue to provide medical services to DCFC’s professional men’s United Soccer League (USL) Championship team, DCFC’s women’s pre-professional USL W League team, and DCFC Major Arena Soccer League Women (MASLW) teams.
Additionally, DMC will be one of the DCFC’s Legacy Partners and serve as the presenting sponsor of the Training Report video series. The health system’s logo will be prominently featured on the front of the club’s training jerseys, which will also be available for fans to purchase.
Since the beginning of their collaboration in 2020, DMC has been an integral part of Detroit City FC’s success, providing world-class medical care and resources to support the team’s performance and recovery.
“We are deeply committed to the health and well-being of our players, and Detroit Medical Center has been an invaluable partner in providing exceptional care for our team,” said Sean Mann, CEO of Detroit City FC. “Their medical support ensures that our players are at their best, both on and off the field. As we continue to grow as a club, we are excited to strengthen our partnership with DMC and look forward to many more years of working together to support the continued success of our athletes and the future of Detroit City FC.”
During the past five years, DMC has supported the Detroit City FC Men’s Team with a full-time athletic trainer, Maureen Lilla, from DMC Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan, Metro Detroit’s only standalone rehabilitation hospital. That relationship will continue, with Lilla and team physicians, DMC Sports Medicine experts Dr. Ali Makki and Dr. Chase Ansok, providing ongoing insight and support tailored to each player with this new agreement.
“As a leader in Metro Detroit in injury prevention and cutting-edge rehabilitation services, DMC ensures those who need us in the region have the best care available,” DMC Group CEO Brittany Lavis said. “We’re excited about our continued relationship with the team and look forward to this year’s soccer season.”
Lilla provides everything from physical therapy and training plans to injury rehabilitation for the DCFC players. The care mimics what the experts at DMC’s Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan and DMC orthopedic experts provide to the community, whether at RIM’s 69-bed rehab hospital in Midtown Detroit or at nine DMC Orthopedics clinics or RIM’s 20 outpatient sites located in communities throughout southeast Michigan. The Detroit Medical Center also supports local athletes through Children’s Hospital of Michigan Pediatric Sports Medicine and Pediatric Orthopedics, with a number of programs designed to provide on-field medical support for high school sports. As Detroit City FC continues its upward trajectory in both the USL and the local community, the partnership with DMC will remain a key part of the club’s success, providing essential medical services that help keep players in peak condition throughout the season.
